At IMPACT! we are always looking for new ways to challenge and give our Ninjas great workouts in every class! Starting tonight at 6:30pm, is a new class, Bushido Fitness led by Joseph Jimenez, followed by Kickboxing Fitness with Erik at 7:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there tonight!
Bushido means “Way of the Warrior”. To be a true warrior you need to be able to tap into your body’s natural mechanics. This class will improve your balance, agility, quickness, speed, plyometrics, strength, core and cardio. Combining this with an intense heavy bag workout you will be able to reach your next level of fitness.
Joseph Jimenez has been practicing martial arts for more than 12 years. He earned black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do and holds high-ranking belts in Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a mixed martial arts combining Kenpo and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. After spending the earlier part of his martial arts training competing in tournaments he became interested in the fitness benefits of martial arts.
Joseph is a NASM certified personal trainer, certified TRX instructor and specializes in sports conditioning. He has a particular interest in high intensity interval training and focuses his instruction on developing full body mechanics including agility, power, strength, endurance, balance, speed, core and plyometrics training, as well as injury prevention. He has trained and taught at Judo legend Hayward Nishioka’s dojo, at Zenki dojo and currently teaches his own kickboxing boot camp, cancer survivor training workshops and MEND classes (wellness, nutrition and fitness education for overweight children and their families) at the YMCA. Joseph is available for personal training and is passionate about helping people reach their athletic potential.
