Starting in March – Aerial Silks: Form & Function

IMPACT! is excited to introduce a new Aerial Silks class – Form & Function with Elizabeth Finn – starting March 2014.

Aerial Silks:  Form & Function
Learn the basics of aerial silks, go from knowing a lot of moves to being able to do them beautifully, and start learning to make up your own repertoire. Each week we will concentrate on a specific class of poses, focusing on basic troubleshooting, form and technique, variations and transitions, and adding your own personal flair. No experience necessary.

Aerial Silks:  Form & Function – 8 classes (Members $108 / Non-Members $120)
Spring Session – Tuesdays 5:30pm to 6:30pm – 3/4 to 4/22 (Elizabeth) – Purchase Now!

*Note: Space is limited. Once class begins there are no refunds and no make up classes. We require a minimum of 6 students to hold a class. Instructors will spot all participants for safety purposes. The instructors will ask your permission to touch you, but in dangerous situations, permission will be implied in order to keep you safe. Participants must use the crash pads during aerial silks classes at all times.

Elizabeth’s Bio:

Elizabeth Finn first ran away to join the circus when she was five years old; training in acrobatic gymnastics for five years and winning the Level II Mixed Pair National Competition in 1996. Since then she has been a springboard diver, a dancer, and a gymnast. She first fell in love with aerial dance during college, and has been an aerialist since 2005; training with Aloft Aerial Dance in Chicago and Acrosports in San Francisco.

She taught at Stanford starting in 2010 and served as aerial fabrics manager from 2012-2013, developing curricula for all levels, especially helping advanced students to take their skills to the next level. She has been teaching at Poletential in Redwood City since 2011, and has developed and debuted several classes there.

She is thrilled to bring the joy of aerial silks to a new group of aerialists!
