Although only 18, Althea Young is a lifelong circus artist, having grown up in circus ever since she was introduced to it at age 3 and performed professionally since age 8. With more than a decade of training and performing under her belt, she has dedicated her formative years to performing for charity, in shows such as The Sf Clown Cabaret which benefits the Medical Clown Project, and Uncle Junior Project which raises money to document the lives of African American circus artists. Not only is she known internationally for her work as an aerialist, but also for her role as an advocate for women and young people in circus.
