Women’s Self Defense 6 Week Class Series

Women’s Self Defense is offered as a series of classes lasting 6 weeks. For students ages 12 and up. Space is limited to 8 people. Once the current class series begins there are no refunds.

No drop-ins allowed for class series as the classes will be taught progressively. 

Class Description

Taught in a fun and friendly atmosphere, students will learn a mixture of strikes, escapes and grappling maneuvers useful in self defense scenarios. There is contact involved, but all strikes, chokes and other rough movements are initiated against the instructor and NOT the student.

This class is intended as an ongoing training to be truly effective. Joining a 6 week session, students will learn:

  • Basic information on how to stay safe
  • Basic striking
  • Ways to defend yourself and escape from an attacker from the ground
  • Ways to choke an attacker unconscious

What to wear

  • wear tops that are secure, and that can be tucked in (no halter tops)
  • wear pants with a secure waist – loose waistbands are not appropriate
